Attempts to nominate Sajith Premadasa has opposition party leader – Rukman Senanayake

Former Party’s Deputy Leader Rukman Senanayake had informed a group is attempting to appoint Sajith Premadasa, United National Party’s Hambantatoa district parliament member as the leader of the opposition party.
Some UNP parliament members have planned to remove Ranil Wickramasinghe from the present post, and to handover it to Sajith. He said the injustices done to the party by Ranil Wickramasinghe cannot be tolerated.

Rukman Senanayake who had served the party for the past 37 years had made this statement. He pointed out that the United National party has processed a massive conspiracy to remove him from the national list.

Central Bank of Ceylon had decided to introduce 5000 rupees currency notes for the first time in Sri Lankan history. Due to the 60TH anniversary of Central Bank of Ceylon, printing of new currency notes are initiated for printing and according to information, 5000 rupee currency notes also will be introduced.
